But you did get it to boot? Mine stays forever at what appears to be the boot screen (the blocky betta fish).
I downloaded it when want to extraxt it says "This disc contains a "UDF" file system and requires an operating system that supports the ISO-13346 "UDF" file system specification"" What does it mean? What do I need to do?
Yeah, it installed in about 5 minutes, and runs really well. Until it randomly locks up! I'm going to re-install it, and see whats happens. My betta fish is not blocky, but the whole OS looks like Fischer-Price to me. I HATE not having the start button. But I'm TRYING to get used to it...
can someone confirm if intel quick sync is working again in windows 8?? for some reason my apps that require it cannot recognise hardware decoding
It wouldn't surprise me if Vbox needs an update, but are you using an x86 ISO, at least? I think your odds will be better with 32-bit.
Our recommendation for the Consumer Preview is to run it natively on hardware if you intend to run Windows 8 on hardware when the product is final. Some of you will run virtualized environments for enterprise workloads or specialized purposes, but we strongly recommend that you experience Windows 8 on hardware, as it was designed to run for the majority of consumer experiences.
