Stupid question here but has anyone got any ati drivers working on this build yet and of which version? and did you use compatabilty mode....all i keep getting is BSOD or engineer sample drivers..would love a reply if anyone has managed to get something working...thnx guys
Installed the x86 on a spare PC and is it just me or do NONE of the Metro apps work at all? Are they even installed? I can click on all of them until I'm blue in the face and get nothing. Only the IE, Windows Explorer, Control Panel, and Desktop buttons do anything. Also, while on the desktop, how the frak do I get the NORMAL start menu items to show? I don't want to go to the Metro UI once at the desktop!
I must to wait until download will be complete at 212 kb/s will take 4 hours but i using now 7989 as primary o.s; i installed vista drivers in compatibility mode and no troubbles until now...
@Orbit, which Metro apps does x86 install? Are they the sample apps or just ones that will come with Windows?
Loaded up in a VM now and and clicked a random app (Alarms). Uh, how do you close the app to get back to the Start screen (non-touch system)? Edit: I guess something is supposed to flare up on one of the screen edges, but nothing ever does in HyperV. Not even the bar on the right.
wait is that 11.5? or nvidia one? update: your right i can now see my drivers in device manager not showing as engineer sample, however i have encountered a problem running ATI ccc
This build is freaking good! I can now watch 1080p video with my 1.6Ghz Atom CPU that I couldn't with Windows 7. Should I worry about TRIM for this build or optimize it for SSD?
Update: ATI Catalyst 11.7 works also and not showing engineering sample, had a small bug but ATI ccc also working
Someone was able to install a printer? The "Add devices and printer" is searching for devices forever and no option to skip it is available.
