    Burn a DVD? Installing from USB? Use another CD emulation program?

    Just developed my first Metro Style small app and it rocks ;). C# with XAML. Microsoft has provided good reference for developers :worthy:

    In x86 I'm unable to open any metro app except the Control Panel...

    they are all locked


    another strange thing is that i got the metro ui in 1024x600!

    Windows 8 doesn't need activation

    EDIT: Desktop looks like an app!:p but it's cool

    Same problem here. After first restart any app is not working anymore, IE (in desktop "mode") crash on startup. Was working so good before to restart due an update...

    Any suggestion?

    Are the developer tools etc pre-installed or is there a separate setup program on the dvd?

    Downloaded this earlier, finally having a play around, one good thing is it recognized all but one minor Intel driver on my laptop, on W7 I needed to install graphics, wireless etc.

    Gonna take a while to get used to it all but so far I'm really liking what MS has done :)

    let's understand some things

    If you are using a resolution equal or below to 1024x600 only control panel and desktop will work

    If you are using a resolution equal or higher than 1024x768 all apps will work but you can't use 2 apps on the same screen.

    If you are using a resolution equal or higher than 13??x768 all apps will work and you can use 2 apps on the same screen.

    This is the same to x86 and x64.

    If the apps still don't work try reeinstall from Windows 7 setup (on the dvd go to sources then setup.exe)

    the problem is that i don't have installed x64 of Windows dev preview

    try ask someone in the forums.
