Well, I don't see nothing new. This is windows 7.... it can't be Windows 8 Developer Preview Build 8102 and to luck like normal windows 7...

Yes, this works fine with Vmware Workstation 8. It will not work in workstation 7.

 

my cpu can't support hardware virtuslization so i have just 1 question:VM will working with Windows 8 or Mac OS X Lion?

 

Even though I got to that part I still can't find RPenable. There is just the Default file.

I don't think it's locked. I'm using x86 and all Metro Apps works like a charm. My kid loves the "Flash Card" App. And also, I got my original res at 1280x768 (SiS Mirage 3)

Try to check the sha1 first.

Because normal keys for Windows XP/Vista/7 we know about do not have the letter 'N' in it. Some server version do have the letter 'N' in their key.

 

yes check the sha1 to make sureyou have every bit of every file

Done some more checking. Using the files pidgenx.dll and pkeyconfig.xrm-ms from Windows 8 Developer Preview, I found out that the key give this info:

Productkey: 6RH4V-HNTWC-*****-*****-*****
Edition: Prerelease
License type: Retail
License Channel: Retail
Status: Valid

The file pidgenx.dll has also a different size than the Windows Vista/7 version. Maybe it is a new/different file like the one for Windows Server 2008.

When I tried to install in VMware workstation 7.1.3 build-324285 , it gave error saying HAL_INITIALIZATION_FAILED.

Can somebody help me on this ?

Does your CPU have Hardware Virtualization? If not, than that is the case. Otherwise you have to enable it in the BIOS. Use a CPU information tool (like AIDA64) to check it.

 

Help! Installed The WDP on a second hard drive separate from my Windows 7 install, and now 7 won't boot! It boots strait into windows startup repair every time, and it then finds nothing wrong with the install. Again, I could use help as soon as possible!

 

If you look at windows defender, it does appear to have MSE built in. It says it "scans for viruses, spyware or other potentially unwanted software"

 

one simple question... Sudoku, Ink Pad, Socialite work fine for you? cuz I run and then, It just show me a "green ground". I installed Win8 on VHD. regards!

 

All Apps work for me, but the build is glitchy so you might run into Bugs and errors (Display errors, unable to use Snap or unable to switch between metro aplications etc etc etc) Alot of bugs happen kind of randomly in this build, restarting Explorer will fix most of the issues without having to logoff/logon
