The hack or real MCT doesn't obtain an ISO, it downloads the full consumer_ret esd files and converts them to ISO, and they will have the same content but as you said with install.esd instead of install.wim.

MSDN ISOs will be the same as ESD (all editions)

likewise VLSC ISOs, will be combined with Education/N+Enterprise/N+Pro/N

Really curious what the build number will be from the ISO. Will it be 16299.15 or will it include the cumulative update they gave insiders to push it to 16299.19, saving folks from having to download it or will Microsoft release it as 16300?

Allow me to ask the question and answer it. :p

When is the ISO for The Fall Creators Update going to be released?

TODAY  -- Yes, the wait will soon be over as today is October 17, 2017, release day. Sometime today, Microsoft will officially release the new build.

Guess we will find out today. :)

We will see. As the old saying goes, I do not make it a habit to count my chickens before they hatch. The cumulative update resolved some boot issues for some folks, so it would make sense for them to include the update. If they did include that update, I do not know if they would roll back the build from 16299.19 to 16299.15, just for the sake of the release, since the update already pushed folks up to 16299.19. It would be an "odd" thing to do. Just as it would be "odd" to exclude it since it would mean some folks would be screwed in updating without it.

However, you could very well be correct, this is Microsoft after all, and they do odd things.

New download tool gives you the option of selecting Full AIO, Home Single Language, N editions, and 32-bit, 64-bit, or both. ;)

Just because your location is still giving old ISO's, does not mean everyone is getting old ISO. --- It is still being passed through Microsoft's CDN Network and so not everyone will yet get it right away.

Wish is why I suggest if you have a slow internet connection, you should wait until it is completely distributed throughout their network. ;)

Using Canada, myself, since I am using a VPN, and 1/2 the time I get the old download like yourself and 1/2 the time I get the new download too. It seems they are still pushing this out on their CDN Network and it is not yet on all servers or locations.

They're pushing the button, but like with every release, your geolocation will come into play as to how soon you get it. It is best that folks wait. I only posted this bit of information since I was excited that it was coming down the pipe. However, a little foresight now tells me that perhaps posting this information, though accurate, could cause some confusion for some folks or frustration by others who cannot wait.
