I'll look at it. You can search in W8-1 for NTFS entries, as they are quite similar, to find, if the renaming to 6.3.xxxx.x is correct.

the renaming to 6.3.9431.0 is correct for sure, looks similar in Windows Server 2012 R2 Preview (9431).
It must be something else, maybe the driver is blacklisted?

    Funny tread this one.
There is plenty of groups who make server to be like the workstation, and here it is implemented servises and features to make a workstation be lake a server.
Maybe MS should ship all services and features in one package?

    Hello,

    Just two noob question :

    * If i install the ReFS pack, will be able to convert my primary partition to ReFS ( which have Windows 8 installed on ?)
    * Is there a way to install Media Center on the Entreprise Edition ?

    Thanks a lot :)

    Best regards,

    Nixeus

 ... Nope! Afaik this was tested by 100 and some others, by copying all nessessary files from Win Pro Retail. But it didn´t start due to several checks for OS version it performs :hmm:.

In case you really want/need the WMC installed, the only way is Pro Retail, as neither Pro VL nor Enterprise will offer the upgrade option.

So far to my knowledge unfortunately no solution to circumvent the restriction appeared.

Afair i´m not the only one here that would like a solution for this, a sideloadeable WMC :good3:.

BTW: Software for my usb DVBT stick doesn´t support Win 8, but WMC has no problems while using automatically installed generic BDA drivers :D.

If you have ripped WMC from Pro, try to send it to Woot332. I think he will be able to crack it. (He did same with all (very different) WVista and W7 games already.)

Of course it doesn't work, when you in fact still kept it 6.2.
    v6-2.jpg

But it is pointless to lose time about this, when ReFS will be officially supported on W8-1.

Win 8.1 reads/writes ReFS drives, but does not have an option for ReFS in GUI format. Strange.

OK, I already have x32 refs.sys and x32 urefs.dll v6-3-9600-16384, in 20 minutes I'll have x64 versions, so I'll post the files here together with reg files for both x32 and x64...
