I found a difference between 17134.1 and 17134.5. When scanning with WUMT against Windows Update, in 17134.1 it shows as installed Feature update to Windows 10, version 1803 under Upgrades. With the patch, 17134.5 does not show this entry. It may be the recognition that IP has passed the threshold to become RTM. We will understand more soon. Next Patch Tuesday is in few days from now.
Avast has been broken on certain machines since the first release of Win 10, other machines it runs fine but some it causes all sorts of problems, seems they still haven't fixed it, it used to be the AV I installed on all machines I repaired but now I just leave defender on, was getting too many back in that either wouldn't POST or were crashing because of Avast
You do not really need Avast UI, unless you change settings daily, you can disable it, Avast will be just fine without this pointless process running. Indeed Avast and AVG are turning into a trash lately, not just on 1803. They should have stayed separate, merging did not do them any good.
Windows 10 "Final 1803" 17134.1 (PC) Spanish (es-mx; es-es) Note from mod: The site is hosting other warez topics.
actually it does with defender, because it wont let application have instant access to files. defender reads and caches the file into memory before scanning , being released to the application. which is why memory and cpu is higher. it also really hurts compiling speeds
, Maybe in a older computers, not sure what your specs are any box with a I7, 8 to 16 gigs of ram and SSD a anti will not make any performance impact, I burn movies all the time with a box with the specs I posted and I don't see any slow downs.
99% people have "older computers". For the price o i7 alone, you can buy 3 computers. I can play Hitman on ultra, but WD still causes significant slow downs nevertheless.
Mine is an AMD FX-6300, with 8gb Ram. The C: drive is SSD, everything else regular hard drive. It's a desktop of course. If it comes to either using a 3rd party antivirus or buying a new PC just so Windows Defender will be able to keep up, I'll stick with the 3rd party antivirus.
Not sure at this point. It could be due to a corrupt install / corrupt system file, too. Try firing up a VM, install it there and see if the problem persists. If not, here you go.
let me tell u...check out fleabay u be surprise they have come down in price big times u can pick one up used for under $200
