Well since XBOX, Hololens and Windows have to be the same build number and Microsoft likes to keep them the same then I bet it will be 17134.xx since XBOX just got the April Update today 17134.3007 "1804". My question is will Windows be 1803 or 1804 to match the XBOX?
To change it to 1804 from 1803 would require a lot of work, as everything Microsoft has references 1803 and the future 1809.
You may be right but a lot of weirder things have came out of Redmond before. It seems nobody will talk about this version of windows at all. It's all hush hush. I'm thinking they are working on a CU and are waiting to see if it will make it a smooth release. Friday maybe??
Well anyone can change the version number in the registry, but by a lot of work I mean all of Microsofts documentation, pictures, charts and road maps.
my iso 17134.1.180410-1804.RS4_RELEASE_CLIENTPRO_OEMRET_X64FRE_EN-US.ISO Took me 5 minutes to fresh install on a 960 Pro NVME m.2 drive.
Well they missed the 24th for release obviously, but I did have my doubts. Isn't the testing of the first CU through Insiders normally a prerequisite before they will release?
On a known torrent site, someone posted the ISO. (Which, by the way, I made a few days ago already and installed flawlessly here). It's the ISO you make from the ESDs, as described here. The uploader on the torrent site added the mysterious comment that "no update will install on a clean install from this ISO, except windows defender and malicious software tool updates". What does that mean, "no updates will install on clean install from this ISO"? Why would no updates install? Is this supposed to be a good thing or a bad thing? Or did he merely mean that a clean install from this ISO is all up-to-date so that no updates are needing to be installed?
I would never download a Windows ISO off of a torrent site. You can find all the info here on how to get or to make your own. I hope you didn't get a ISO filled with hidden viruses!
