I just got bugged, remove this reply. (Misclicked to "+Quote" and i was unable to cancel... So i had to write a post... Sorry.)
@Enthousiast is talking about a USB stick as a single partition, not MBR style, which means without a partition table. That one is called superfloppy by some and for all purposes is seen as a floppy disk or maybe as an older Iomega Zip drive, thus the word superfloppy, like a giant floppy.
Is that background apps running bug still there over a fresh clean install on this recently released ESDs?
It all depends on your choices in making ISO. Microsoft's ISO's are AIO (All in One). The ESD Tool gives you options Examples You can make Pro ISO, Pro+Home ISO etc. You also have option for either install.esd or install.wim. This matters if you still use DVD's. The MSFT X64 ISO will not fit on standard DVD. Not sure about X86.
I don't understand what you mean; i must be stupid. I'm also talking about a USB stick as a single partition. What i say is you have to know if your PC has a legacy bios (hdd booting possible if mbr style) or uefi/gpt.
Gotta wonder at this point if this is really RTM. Also wondering, if I install this cleanly, will it be a proper Retail Windows like you'd get with FCU? Updating properly, no need to use powershell and the like just for an update? Cause I still see that managed by the Insider program screen.
It is my understanding if you format USB Flash Drive to Fat32 using Diskpart, then copy content of ISO to it, it will Boot with either type of BIOS. install.wim can not be larger that 4 GB to use Fat32
MBR boot without active partition failed on a lot of older boards in my experience (and it doesn't hurt for newer ones).
Don't count on Microsoft confirming RTM. Everyone thought 17133.1 was RTM, MSFT even started releasing CU's for it, but at the last minute it was pulled.
