sorry i got confused between all the version numbers and s**t. Anyway, on another forum, some user wrote:

Yea, crashes explorer almost every time i try to use it. It's been like that for quite few builds, but noone seems to care and actually fix it :-(

If you were an insider you would not need to get started. You would be an insider. This is how it usually works for insider builds at any rate. Someone else would need to verify what exactly it does if you are an insider, and install this with your MS account as I have not done that yet.

 

No, the update itself doesn't do anything to change the system to Insider. If it did, it would carry on doing so when it gets released to the public, which wouldn't be a good thing. No, it's an update that might make it to the public, but they've only made it available so far to Insiders. Once it goes public, they just throw a switch and the SAME update appears to everyone else.

 

I notice there's a 17134.12 on Buildfeed. Haven't checked it in a while, so someone will probably say it's been there a few days....

 

Ok I am so confused right now.
The .5 update is not showing in WU, but I have downloaded it. Currently I am on .1
I see some of you say that it's best to wait till it shows up in WU, is that the case?
Oh and while I'm here, whats the difference between english and english international iso?

 

I went ahead and installed it. rebooted and seem fine now the build is at 17134.5, hope that once they push this out to the masses, it does not mess up my system.

It's very likely .5 won't get pushed to everyone at this point. Instead a new update, perhaps .12, will be the one pushed out to everyone.

 

Please don't beat me, but to those who already installed this either via WU or .ISO it doesn't show the "managed by insider program" right?
