How does the activation work for Datacenter. (I know the dreamspark keys only have two activations but MS implies that if you activate server core datacenter then it activates the VM's also.) Going to install : Server Core Datacenter (or Hyperv server 2012). Server Essentials then change edition to datacenter. Server 2012 Datacenter (As a Terminal Server). Thing is I cannot really have the Hyperv Server on the Domain because it needs to be up before Server Essentials can start. Has anyone tried anything like this yet. (The other option is join the Hyperv server to the Domain and then I can migrate it to hyperv on my desktop when I need to reboot the hyperv server). Any info on what people have already tried would be greatly appreciated.
