For a HP 6570B laptop I need an working 32 bit Vista driver.
All drivers work on Vista except for the harddisk protection sensor.
I need to use Vista because my company uses 32 bit Vista, and all software packages as customized to work on Vista, so we cannot use Windows 7 for now.

    It's all about this driver:

There is a driver for XP and Windows 7, but not for Vista. It does not allow me to install it on Vista, it simply denies me because it has been written in the setup to do so I think.
When just using the device management, it tells me the required section is not there and it won't install the device driver.

Is it possible to modify the driver that it will install on Vista, and how?

This version did work fine with Vista

It does unfortunately not support the sensor in a 6570B laptop.

Try Windows Update, ACPI driver will be automatically detected.
