Successfully installed the PAE patch with the optional boot switch. Appears to work fine other than boot time is way slower. Is this normal behavior?
Good day to all. I have an Asus Z97 Deluxe motherboard. I want to install windows xp. I can integrate drivers via nlite. I’m only interested in tips and links to drivers. Please provide links to drivers for the following devices: Thank you. It's simple, copy the hardware ID of the driver to google in order to search for the driver. Preferably, search for the backported generic versions from XP2ESD, because these will work more easily on XP.
Generic AHCI still doesn't properly create an entry in TXTSETUP.sif. The other drivers still don't work after first reboot. However I get a 7E BSOD now, so it might not be wack drivers unsigned. (Could also now be that I'm trying XP x64 now instead of 2003 x86)
If you are going to integrate them unsing nLite, you must use some kind of this nLite addon (update needed files in archive from current driver that you want to use) and then integrate your MassStorage TXTMODE driver Code: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/drivers-and-tools-to-run-windows-xp-on-newer-hardware.81607/page-9#post-1649999
I just can't get this to work, it always gives me a 7B no matter what I do. I've even tried integrating one driver in textmode, and another as PNP. The AHCI 1.0 does not work at all, while the two others always 7B trying to boot into the second part of the setup. I'm testing inside a VM configured to use SATA for the HDD.
I'm using VMware Workstation 12.5.9, I guess I could try changing the version to 8 or something, or Virtualbox.
Gives a BSOD if I have the DVD on the SATA controller too, I set it to IDE for the DVD drive for this.
