*it boots now, but only into Win 10, I no longer get the Win 7 / Win 10 selection menu on bootup in the VM* Hi, I got a Win7 / Win10 Dualboot System here, which I created an HDD image from, using Acronis 2017 a long time ago. The image can be recovered to another PC and at least Windows 10 boots fine. If you boot into Windows 7 it works once and then messes up the boot process after the next restart. (that was the case on the original system back then already) I then used an empty HDD with enough space and created an empty Virtual Disk (VHD) on it (300GB). Using Acronis 2017 to recover the image into the VHD worked. Trying to run the VHD in Oracle VM VirtualBox, it sayd there is nothing to boot. (FATAL! No bootable Medium found) What I missed is that the BIOS on the old laptop was set to UEFI. Setting UEFI in the VM settings, everything booted just fine, but I no longer recieve the Win 7 / Win 10 menu anymore in the VM on startup. What else might I have missed here ? Would it be a good idea to mess with the bootmanager in the VM ?
