    Hey all,

I am using the modded bios for the Gigabyte EP45 UD3R mobo. The flash looks like it takes correctly. The bios screen shows Dell, however I am using Windows Vista which is using a boot loader. When I log into Windows and use the slic dump toolkit it still shows it as an Award bios and it's not slic 2.1. Would this boot loader for Vista be the issue on why I am not really showing the corrected flashed bios information? Is there a way to check the slic 2.1 information without going into Windows to verify?

Hi, yes - the lo.der is the problem in your case. There is no more need of using it if you have successfully flashed your bios with the modded one.
And no, i believe there is no way of checking your real current bios slic status without booting into Windows - well, i haven't heard of a tool that is capable of doing so from DOS.

you have to uninstall loader, you don't need it now anyway,i had a loader installed and everest was showing i had slic 2.1 bios.but in reality it was the loaders slic 2.1 bios.
