HELP !! DVD Burner Question ATA or IDE???

Ok guys im better at software then hardware so im a little confused here. I recently bought a Dell Studio 1558 came with a HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GA31N DVD burner Drive. As far as i can tell this is a ATA style drive. I miss my light scribe i had on my old lappy but can't use cause it was a tray eject. new is slot loaded. Any way I found a TOSHIBA TS-T632 slot load Light-scribe DVD Burner but says its IDE. Now what can I do here. Would it direct plug in? i read thats its a transfer rate thing. i doubt i have room for adapters inside the laptop. any ideas. or anyone know where i can get this drive? would ide just plug in and then have to change something in the bios?

    Gona pay high for that...

Could just get a cheap ass sata super-multi one until you can find the one you are looking for.
super-multi has dual layer and all other cd/dvd capabilites bar blu-ray (and sometimes HD/DVD I think off hand)
