If this is an AMD based notebook, the problem lies in the AMD Chipset drivers.. Install them manually and it should install the AMD SATA drivers.
@lievre, Try this way. 1. Did you check DVD has online in disk manager? If it has "offline", you change to "online." 2. DVD is not appear on Windows File explorer? Open windows file explorer, go to view -> option, in General tap -> radio box select "This PC"
The generic CD-ROM driver already comes with the OS. If that component really was missing I'd be more concerned over the whole OS install having gone to hell.
Not by this cdrom drive & win10 ... This Asus book it happens that not right detected due to a conflict But it is easy possible to manually install the cdrom driver The same as the old sound driver Realtek ALC880/892 Add two lines on right inf and ready
There's no point redistributing the builtin driver as it's part of the OS. It's always present, no matter what device you have installed. And modifying the .inf is neither necessary when doing manual driver selection, nor is it going to work as it will invalidate the digital signature.
Yes, i change right-administration for this inf file from TrustedInstaller to user and this works fine.
Like i've mentioned in an earlier post, when the computer start, clicking on ESC, if i put the windows dvd, it's working. Now the "pissing me up thing" to unmounted this dvd, i practically have to unmounted all the laptop. Lievre
copy inf to windows/inf copy sys to windows/sys32/drivers (as admin) Windows Explorer (right click) on inf / install this create this file
@lievre You tried everything but write or call Laptop manufacturer, tell them you want updated driver so it works with Windows 10, be polite, but tell them in no uncertain terms, they will fix this or you will sue company, action my man, action.
