dvd not recognised

    first of thank you to this forum its great now i can try win 7 ult thanks thanks thanks. However after fresh install on other hard drive i do not have dvd writer and have no upper filters to delete etc and tried all fixes on google dvd still works on xp so i am at a loss

    This has worked for me

    Run regedit
    In:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
    Delete UpperFilters and LowerFilters values (backup before delete)

    This has worked for me

    Buy a new one it only costs between 20 and 30 €
