Not even a "thank you?" Just kidding. Sorry to hear that it doesn't solve the problem. Apologies. I'll try something else.
Skip_TPM_Check_on_Dynamic_Update v8 because Defender gets more dumber and annoying by the hour, yet it receives nothing but praise from sell-out av-comparatives, av-test and "tech journalists" Same IFEO intercept to add /Product Server option for bypass, but done over cmd, not powershell There is however a notable change: now should only affect setup via Windows Update. There are plenty of other choices to add a bypass to the media. edit: Reverted to a catch-all format in v9
Skip_TPM_Check_on_Dynamic_Update.cmd v7 worked and upgraded Windows 10 to Windows 11, on Z97 motherboard and i7-4790K . After the upgrade completed, I run the script a second time, to remove the changes it has done the first time.
Yep.That's for release build, don't need it once it's done. For Beta / Dev must keep it - it's a dynamic script so it does not do anything unless you are running windows setup or windows update does feature upgrade to a new build. Should also move to the current V9 if you are going to need it again, Defender started bitching about the powershell code used in v7 (been set-it-and-forget-it since December 2021, but suddenly it's fake positive'd after build 22610 hit).
Installed Windows 11 Enterprise on a 2012 Dell Inspiron one all in one 2020 with a 3th gen i3-3240T and work Thanks.
It's a know recent builds issue - outside of my control and unrelated to any of my scripts. There are various solutions that you can find online. Try in Powershell (Admin) or Terminal (Admin): Code: Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.SecHealthUI -AllUsers | % {add-appxpackage -disabledevelopmentmode -register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppxManifest.xml"} Then try in Powershell / Terminal standard: Code: Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.SecHealthUI |% {add-appxpackage -disabledevelopmentmode -register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppxManifest.xml"}
I think there should be instructions for the average user on how to run these .bat files when installing or upgrading to Windows 11.
@BAU, reading you first post a bit and i am a bit confused lol. I have a legit windows 10 pro setup and want to upgrade (to test) to windows 11. My device is a 7th gen unsupported machine. What step should i do to upgrade ? Also do i receive updates in 11 ? reading that windows 11 will block updates for unsupported hardware. Thanks for your reply.
Thanks @BAU, but i am not much online @mydigitallife anymore. So i am not very well updated like i used to be haha. Does Windows 11 still receive updates after using your script ?
Mine (at least all 10 old old laptops) did ! and still does..... also.... @BAU, liked your very calm, patent reply..<respect>... and yet I though I WAS THE REAL NOVICE & OLD dude... and here I am , thinking - yip the 1st post = easy peazy....
So far, only the upgrade to Windows 11 itself (by WU or ISO) and clean installs of Windows 11 are blocked by hardware requirements. But, once you're in, enjoy your stay for now. Upgrade to Sun Valley 2 will be the next roadblock.
I'm pretty much fed up with builds for the remaining of the year. Would they jump again after SV2 final?! Hope not. Will add a new zip. Thanks! btw, what do you think about my version detection? feels like such an abuse, but it's quite handy and does not require wmic or powershell, just plain ol' findstr - and they've said findstr can't do unicode.. sure it can
