I had 2 different versions of Windows 8.1 from different sources because I need a VL version and a regular OEM version(VL for pre built and laptop, regular for desktop with oem version)

I merged the 2 wims with WinAIO from Josh Cell, then edited them with wintoolkit to add drivers and then tried compressing with NTlite but on the 2nd index it stops at 21% every time with error 28

I have never had sucess getting winconverter to work as it just freezes and tried it on various windows 8.1 pcs(and after reinstalls)

I know dism is possible but I am useless at making commands, lets say wim was in root D drive in folder called AIO then in sources folder what would it be?

wim to esd requires a lot of RAM. Do you have it?
When I first attempted to do it I was using a 32bit win8.1 with 4GB RAM. Useless, unless I rebooted to Safe Mode and sometimes the process failed.

Unfortunately I've never added drivers or NTlited or used Josh Cell's program. I've always made it with dism manually, with commands. So I can't help any further.

Ok I got the original wim file, remerged them then this time converted to ESD but its not compressed that well.

Is there a way to compress it better? Seems to be 4.5 gig no idea why which of course is too big for rewritable dvd, it only compressed by 900 meg from original file size.
