watch out with the utilities that edit the sam security database directly. you can corrupt the sam database and end up with some really odd authentication related behaviour in the future.
if you have system restore enabled, backup copies of the sam database are stored in the "System Volume Information" directory. so you can restore the an old backup of the sam database if needed.
