good day everyone! i have a problem - I have notebook elitebook 8530w (HP) with admin pass on bios and disabled CD-rom from bios. I can boot in Windows and have Ubuntu as second OS on notebook. Is any way i can discard bios pass to enable cd-rom? Pls help.
alextheg, TY for helping me! i dont setup spare key then i make first boot, I'll try to do it tomorrow. This notebook - is my work notebook, and then i called in HP they say to remove battery (but im afraid to dissasemble, because it is on warranty.) I think russian HP support is not so good as in Europe...
If the BIOS password is already.setup and you have forgotten it, Sparekey is not going to help you. Sparekey must be setup before setting up things like BIOS password.
