    Yes, I searched the bios mod threads here and found nothing clearly helpful regarding enabling slic on thinkpad x280. Maybe there is still hope.

    Yes, as long as your antivirus don't mess with SppExtComObjHook.dll. Everything will be automated and seamless, thanks to @abbodi1406 and other contributors.

    Once @quid comes back, I hope we can get more info regarding the SSP2 binary.

    yes I excluded mentioned *.dll in ESET so shoudn't be an issue.

    Some Chinese site back in the day had a v5.02(maybe v5.03?) version of the DOS tool and I think there were Windows versions (x86/x64) on some other Chinese site too. No idea where you'd get those these days as that was about ten years ago.
