What's so different on the LTSB in comparison with the normal enterprise what would cause the "improved" running on an older pc? I have seen so many people copying this info but no one has a factual report. Does it cause your vga to run faster, better? Do you have proper benchmark testresults?
Then it's not so bad, and cool you apologized. Your thoughts were on the money, just didn't see the need for the other comments, so thanks for clearing that up. By the way, nice tool and nice of you to post it. We all have bad days, I'm on my third. lol
What if I don't want any of the app packages? I'm on regular enterprise right now, and I've removed literally all of the metro apps that came pre-installed. It seems to me that it's more along the lines of going to a carnival and finding out that you're the only person there, and they've left everything running. Also they've cleaned up all the garbage and puke.
And the only ride you can get on is the ferris wheel because nothing newer is available to you, because you're on LTSB. There is no LTSB build 10576 yet because one has not been released. Next LTSB release probably won't be until TH2 or after. A lot of these posts make me believe that people don't understand what LTSB means.
Last time I checked the L of LTSB stood for "Long". Don't you think that would be pretty stupid to release a new build every few months of something supposed to be stable for 5 years?.
No it's not, it's like finding out you have to go shopping with the wife, then finding out she only wants to go to a computer shop, then McDonalds, then home for lots of bedroom loving LTSB has everything I want from 10, and none of that useless app crap, the only thing that would make it more perfect, would be the complete removal of the XAML settings panel and all other XAML stuff, and return the Win32 versions
