got a bit of a problem here . this sony laptop came with vista preinstalled . hard drive has gone . installed new hardrive with vista ultimate . no loader installed . i have the cert and slp key . now when i try to install the cert i get the following error run 'slui.exe 0x2a 0xBBA' to display the error text. error : 0xBBA i dropped the cert in the root of c:\ then run the following command slmgr.vbs -ilc C:\SONY-Sony-2.0.xrm.ms and everytime i get the same error . i have also used slic dump toolkit to confirm slic 2.0 table but dont know what else to do . help would be greatly appreciated . thanks
Your cert is spelt wrong. It should be ------.xrm-ms and not ------.xrm.ms. Also pl. rename the cert to something simple like sony.xrm-ms. Also, cmd has to be run as admin.
