    Can someone confirm that Dr. Pentium's updated version resolves the known issue regarding vMotion of VMs encountered with the previous version? I can't post a link, but it's described by sebus a few pages back, here...

    forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/12982-ESX-ESXi-Bios-Tools?p=557148&viewfull=1#post557148

    This is pretty much all that's preventing me from upgrading from 4.1u1 (I don't have enough gear onhand to stage a test environment myself).

    No, as soon as executable it touched in any way, vMotion (and other bits govern by vCenter) go into pieces

    sebus

    EDIT
    The above is NOT true if editing just the BIOS (for SLIC/SLP). It is only true when editing executable with Donk's Unlocker for Mac OS X

    I can't confirm that vMotion does not work. How can I verify your problems?

    Use vMotion while managing multiple ESXi servers with vCenter

    @Sebus
    I am using Modded s.v00 v5.0.0-474610 in HA/DRS Cluster and vMotion works flawlessly.

    For me too, but only with BIOS placed on SAN (and not replaced inside executable)

    I can confirm that latest version of ESX Bios tools works perfectly on ESXi 5.1 that was released today. But as reported earlier, I did an in place UPGRADE of a modded 5.0 and this of course wiped out the modded BIOS 5.0. I am working on getting an identical machine together to enable vmotion in order to start testing that angle.

    Does anybody have BIOS with SLIC (*.rom) supporting Win8/2012 for ESXi5.1?

    I'm not getting any problems testing vmotion running two (almost) identical systems both using 1.1.5 of ESXi Bios Tools. Tested system B before installing modded BIOS and an activated (win7) machine on system A (modded) vmotioned over to system B and became unactivated. After modding system B, vmotion continues to run perfectly and win7 stays activated. Did several vmotions with 2008R2 server, all went smoothly.

    My setup:

    Two F1 chipset AMD motherboards and two A8-3850 quad core cpus. One MB is an Asus F1A75-M Pro with 32 GB ram and the other is an ASROCK A75 Extreme6 with 32 GB ram

    Local hard drive storage for ESXi 5.1

    All VM's are on iSCSI shared storage. The shared storage for VM's and iso images is using an IOMEGA StorCenter ix2-200 NAS. Two iSCSI partitions were created 1.0 TB and 1.5 TB that both ESX5.1 have access to.

    Let me know if there is any other information I can pass on to help you test your own solution.

    @Moose
    Thx for the info .
    is it possible to extend your HA/DRS cluster to 3 or 4 hosts using modded version?
    I also have 2 node cluster running modded version and everything runs fine.
