Michel, I am running it in test mode, but I don't know for sure if it needs to be or not.

Install latest beta. Everst 5.30 did not support SLI string, it was added in some beta later.

length must be the same however you should be able to change anything in "model". "987134512781Genuine NVIDIA Certified SLI Ready Motherboard for ASUS XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX3287-Copyright 2008 NVIDIA Corporation All Rights Reserved-765289891023(R)"

You dont have the latests everest installed, that build doesnt show any SLI info (if you have one or not).

that slistring loader does indeed couse problems. It pain in the ass to remove those strings, once they are in. At least it was in begining, maybe they made some autouninstall method by now.

Obviously they "made some autouninstall method" - more some than method, which doesn't work. OK I will fix this on the next OS installation. I don't want SLI in fact but will borrow friends nVidia card (and will make SLI with my PhysX nVidia card) just to prove that nVidia were, still are and will continue to be buggers...

    Thanks for the input :)

After the re-installation of the Windows 7 everything with Everest and the SLI string seems OK. Once applied the "Hal mod v0.9a" causes the water mark "Test mode..." to appear in the right-down corner of the desktop. I have used "water mark remover" to wipe it out and now everything looks like it shold be. Now I am waiting for second nVidia card from my friend and I will test whether the SLI will work.

I've had it work on a test rig, 3dmark reflected the SLI was indeed enabled.

Is it possible to patch the BIOS so that the chipset looks like P55/X58 so that we don't need a registry or HAL.dll fix? Basically giving you "out of the box" SLI support. It would also come in handy for running SLI on Linux

    Hello,

I am having a problem with my bios regarding DSDT sli string. Every time I try to add the string, it gives me "dsdt table not found". I haven't tried to load the bios since this error has occurred.

Can anyone confirm if this error shows up but the string was installed? I have tried using a clean bios from the manufacture site and a known working slic 2.1 bios mod.

If there is a way to do this manually, please provide or send me a PM.

Any other help or information would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance and happy modding!

    Hi

DSDT isn't in 1B module. Tool currently isn't designed to handle DSDT in seperate module (10).
