I installed windows 7 in legacy bios mode and if i upgrade to win 10, reformat and clean install in UEFI mode will it still be activated despite the fact that i changed bios mode?
Hi all, sorry for this silly question, but I have Win 8.1 Pro with WMC activated, i want update to Win 10 to get a activation and then do a clean install of Win 10. What is the better way to update? Some suggestion?
I have read, that the the update activation is stored at Microsoft servers. Is that right? When i do a clean reinstall on the same hardware, will it activate automatically?
Hi guys. I have official windows 8.1 can i have clean install somhow? i can upgrade but it's just interesting if it can be done or how?
Thank you for reply So if i will upgrade windows, then i will format my partition where windows is installed, will i be able to use 8.1 license key for windows 10?
once you upgraded you don't need to enter a license key, MS stores your activiation based on your hardware.
Reinstalled a clean Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit on my Samsung notebook with his Regular License. Activated Windows 7. Inserted usb pen drive with Windows 10 10240 x64 iso inside. Launched Setup.exe It ask me for a Product Key. Why???
It will always ask for a key - the install ISO doesn't know your doing an upgrade. Just skip all key entries. T
Guys if I have Windows 7 ultimate activated with the loader then I should get the Win 10 Pro version right?
Thought: After doing a fresh BACKUP TO an already activated Windows 7, will THAT old license be banned? This is IF the Windows 10 FALLBACK to Windows 7 is NOT used.
Excellent discussion! Seeing this thread reminds me of when I joined MDL at the time of W7 launch. Things were pretty crazy! Great job guys! You are to be congratulated.
