Enterprise should be handled completely different from Home and Pro.

Normally mortals can't even by that SKU officially from MS.

And it's not part of the Free Upgrade Offer at all.

Enterprise was, is and will be always VOLUME ONLY.

KMS (expiring grace) and MAK (permanent) will stay the ways to go for it.

If one installs Windows 10 for testing purposes(software compatibility/drivers)and doesn't want to activate the OS because its only for testing and will be used only for a week, what are the nags that will encounter.Besides a watermark, does it have pop-ups with activation notices and stuff like that? Also what backup/imaging software is compatible with Windows 10 10240 from the likes of Acronis , Paragon (backup and restore obviously). Please share your experience.

Has anyone seen evidence of the downloading-in-advance (for installation on the 29th or later) that MS has said would be happening when you reserve Win10 on Win7 or Win81 in advance (not speaking of Insiders)?

The point, I guess, was to alleviate demand, but I haven't seen anyone mention detecting this yet. Maybe they start on Monday?

According to the Notes that were sent to OEMs by MS with the 'RTM' builds, it can be tested for certain period (what ever that means) without any restrictions.

Will Windows 10 Pro x64 be activated if I upgrade from clean Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate x64 activated using certificate, key and SLICed 2.1 bios right now? I installed Win7 ~1 hour ago and activated

If you're activated then just mount ISO or burn and run setup.exe (or autorun), go through the process and that's it. Afterwards, make sure you're validated and if so you can do a fresh install.

Yep. Start from within activated Win 7/8/8.1 and keep the machine online all the time, till Windows 10 states being activated.

so, just run the upgrade straight away and keep it online throughout the setup process? :/

I thought it would require a "special generated key" to perform.... Well, thank you

anyway, if I slipstreamed the ZDP to the install.wim, will the upgrade process still works?

Nope, Skip any Key Input, it's not needed at all.

ZDP integration should work, although i know nobody that tested this. So report any outcome :good3:.

Your Hardware acts as unique key in the Upgrade. All Keys are generic (means used by all).

KMS activated Office is always deactivated after an Upgrade. Simply re-activate.

    Just finished up.....

    1) Reinstalled my Acronis backed up copy of W7 Ultimate - Windows Loader cracked
    2) Verified my copy was Genuine at the Microsoft website
    3) Upgraded to Windows 10 10240 using ISO I made from an ESD using ESD Decrypter
    4) Verified activation via Windows 10 Update and Security panel and SLMGR
    5) Wiped install drive using Parted Magic
    6) Clean installed Windows 10 10240 using ISO from above
    7) Verified that my copy is activated as above

Also ran a sfc /scannow and all files passed integrity check.

Probably should make a new Acronis backup before going further....
