Nvidia 600 series GPU's support UEFI and EVGA are working on a UEFI Bios for them.

To boot as fast as possible you need a UEFI Mobo/Bios and install Windows in that mode and have a fast SSD (raid will not make difference to booting and may add time due to raid Controller.

could also enable that fast boot mode that only works on after shutdown's not restarts.

I also tried on GTX 650, but it also not be recognized in intel 7 series MB UEFI bios (with legacy bios be disabled).

A few minutes ago I did a BIOS update and now I get this :p
BTW, everything is running with the default settings. I didn't tweaked anything. I even have my Boot Mode to "Normal" instead of "Fast" which doesn't show the boot screen.

Again, maybe if I disable some of those processes that have a High impact, I can get a better speed :)
But I'm not obsessed with it anyway.

Yes, Logitech updated Setpoint for my v470.

I hope a Win8 update is released for your mouse too :)

None of them have the UEFI Bioses yet as 99% of peeps would RMA the cards thinking they are broken due to what you seen what you tried to boot it in that mode.

As I said, EVGA are working on Bioses and will give them out by request sometime before year end they claim.

Older card will not support UEFI due to the Cmos Chip not being large enough.

I never said Nvidia stated plaything, EVGA stated it on their forums.

Also mention of Asus supporting it soon but if they did so out the box many peeps would think card were dead as only the newer Z77 support this boot function AFAIK not even my Z68 does.

The new Setpoint out the other day is a disgrace.

I and 1 other on EVGA site had the GPU at full clock most of the time for no reason and my mouse pointer was erratic in desktop use and web browsing.

I rolled back and its fine again.

@ odiebugs 600 series Hardware supports UEFI booting, but the Firmware has yet to be updated. EVGA and MSI are working on it. Helmutcheese was not wasting posts he was simply providing sound information on the topic and you should give him an apology.

There is nothing "garbage" about any z68 Motherboard. No Fake Sata3 either. 2 Ports provided directly from the Chipset and others via 3rd party controllers.. i.e marvell etc

and STFU about the scottish abuse take it to a different forum oh and im irish pick on me :)

@ Helmutcheese p67 also has sata 3 :) basically same chipset as z68 - the onboard vga ports @ back panel
