I sadly didn't even find any converters from the web. Do these images need some kind of special converter or something similar?
Currently trying the converter, it is expanding files. Let's see if it works. Update: conversion failed at access error. Trying to run the tool with NSudo now.
Still gives me this: Applying metdata System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'B:\C\Files\bootmgr' is denied. at System.IO.FileSystem.OpenHandle(String fullPath, Boolean asDirectory) at System.IO.FileSystem.SetFileTime(String fullPath, Boolean asDirectory, Int64 creationTime, Int64 lastAccessTime, Int64 lastWriteTime, Int64 changeTime, UInt32 fileAttributes) at System.IO.FileSystem.SetLastAccessTime(String fullPath, DateTimeOffset time, Boolean asDirectory) at LayerConverter.LayerExpander.ApplyArchiveMetadata(String archivePath, String tempPath) at LayerConverter.LayerExpander.ApplyLayer(String LayerPath, String ApplyDirectory) at LayerConverter.Program.Main(String[] args)
I'm running converter again but changed permissions of B:\C\Files\bootmgr. I gave full control for everyone.
Code: C:\LayerConverter.exe C:\insider-10.0.20303.1_amd64_en-US_YfejiIhSzZlVpsQGoWaLKv4wMU9bFr8t C:\ Windows UUP Medium (B:) Expanding to B:\C\Files System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'B:\C\Files\bootmgr' is denied.
Note: The images are passworded - you can remove the password by finding a WINPE Password Removal tool
Why they are passworded? Internal use only or something like that? DaRT WinPE image can reset passwords quite easily.
Thanks for @luzea for providing proper version of converter, now it ran perfectly without any errors.
