    Slic 2.1 is updated for Windows 7. 2.0 is Vista only..

    HP43838 is your bios..slic21 means that the slic is v2.1 the simple slic21 means nothing to type of computer or bios..

    The slic header and values at the acpi namespace are still toshiba. There is more to replacing slics than simply switching slic code. To change manufacturers, you must also change values at the rsdt, xsdt, slic, and possibly more tables with the newer bios.

    You are best advised to stick with the toshiba, or brand you have, with slic until we understand more about recompressing the bios. The LZMA is fine for decompressing, but we do not know how we can recompress it correctly yet..
