You guys should be carefull about flashing your bios on windows. You may use my modded bios with your own risk. But, I recommend you to learn how to modding your own bios. If you don't really know what are you doing, try "7 l o a d e r" that should work for you without a trouble.
lo*ders are pointless my other pcs all are slic 2.1 running win 7 my buddy came over with his hp needing a reinstall so instead of xp i was going win7 after looking over his pc there was no slic tables at all in this pc after flashing moded bios still no slic tables
Excuse me, but I don't get your key combo, do you mean key combo to recover your laptop ? If yes, for many laptop use win+b and some use fn+b.
I've ordered my USB Floppy from Amazon. Is there a tutorial on how to edit your BIOS to SLIC 2.1 for phoenix BIOS'es I know how to flash via the USB Floppy, but not how to create my own SLIC 2.1 flash file. BTW M$ will be blocking that recently leaked key for windows 7. Please reply. Thanks
I have a USB Floppy, but it was unneccessary. I flashed my bios from DOS using a bootable USB thumbdrive following the information I found in the forum. I thought I would have to use the external floppy, but I did not. Yes, it worked.
I tried mine. The light was flashing at a slow pace. My never booted to it. Waited 10mins, nothing happened. Which flash drive did you use?
I ve tried the HP SLIC 2.1 bios F.2D. On my dv9207 (says dv9000 , System board id 30BD) flashing via usb drive fails. I am using phlash16 1.7 and after a while the laptop just shuts down right before flashing the bios (execute flash blocks).... any idea? Maybe the bios is not for 30BD board? It's def the same bios though. I checked on HP website. Edit: Worked now. Had to use a different DOS base, i used minidos...Win98SE did the trick. !!! One issue though slic info shows: Dump OK (But SLIC OEM Table Error), RSDT !=... Any idea? Win7 Activated nevertheless...
