    This is the current version: 9841.0.amd64fre.winmain.140912-1613
    So yes you just found the next version on another note C:\Windows\System32\RestoreOptIn.exe has anyone checked what it does? A funny exe is also there called Choice.exe.

    No, if you tried this thing with Update and recovery->preview build and press the download button to download the new preview build which fails, you will see an error appears in Event Viewer(event viewer->applications and service logs->microsoft->windows->windowsUpdateClient):

    "
    EventData
    updateTitle fbl_release.140927-1520 Professional
    errorCode 0x80246017
    updateGuid {6B4EFF0D-E1FE-434A-B49D-2640A9C98F13}
    updateRevisionNumber 2
    "
    which might be the release it is trying to download:zwinker:

    The ThresholdRiskLevel is set to "high". It should be set to "low" if you are running on a personal system.

    I just noticed the "Previous Versions" tab is again present on local partitions. It was only present for network shares in Windows 8.1 Great restoration of that feature. I made sure to click the "me too" feedback button for someone else's feedback praising the restoration of it under "File Explorer"

    I am referring to that particular post. It's usually set to low. If it's set to low in your registry you can leave it that way.

    If I can get to Startup Settings I can as well do that at the Safe mode level. Your previous guide requires entering the Advanced Boot Options for the process to be possible. I am only suggesting alternative.

    PC Settings -> Users and Accounts -> Others > Create New Account of type Administrator read the menu that appears because somewhere in there is a option you can click that says Create account without Microsoft Account or something along the lines of create a local only account delete the current user account and your set.

    Log in with your hotmail credentials at the USERS AND ACCOUNTS. If you are trying to log in from the feedback dialog you might encounter failed error.

    There is no need to delete anything, just follow these easy steps: run --> netplwiz --> uncheck box "user must enter....."
