They are all Store "Apps" that's why, literally everything new so far is an "App" and thus uses the sandboxing and store update mechanism instead of WU.
did they remove support for any of the older OS's? Im about to install and see, but thought Id ask anyway lol
It's a useless, annoying, pain in the butt. Ever since it was first introduced in Vista, the first thing I do whenever installing a new copy of Windows is immediately disable it.
I just found out 'Herbinate' and 'Turn on fast startup (recommended)' are missing from my Windows 10 Build 9926.
Open up a command prompt window (wit admin privileges) and write "powercfg -h on", click Enter. Problem solved.
I didn't disable it in the first case and that command did solve the problem. My system is broken and need a 'refresh' though.
in my asus notebook windows 10 9926 create 8 badsector on hd but windows 8 and windows 10 9876 not create this problem
It's not that annoying since Windows 7 anymore, but this is hard to know if you never tried it out a second time. Personally, I find it easier just to use one account and OK a prompt than entering an admin password every time I need to run something with elevated privileges. With UAC disabled, I hope you're at least not logged in as an admin all the time (and granting every application admin privileges). Unless you don't care for security, that is.
or you know what your doing.... and not clicking on fake things. I have UAC set to disabled, but I also use adblock plus on all browsers. and use avira just in case. I use avast in vmware as I do use vm for testing sites and software my dad though... Im always cleaning adware from his computer. he though it was normal for google to display store ads on the main page. and told me he didnt like chrome because of all the ads it showed.........................
It's blocking 3 of my apps from starting on windows startup, have to create tasks to launch them. It's stupid that it's doing s**t in the background even when the option is disabled in the UI. Disabling UAC in registry worked fine in Win 8 since I didn't want to use the metro apps anyway.
I can't find "feedback_enabled" on my json string Code: {"cdm":{"creativeId":"default","placementId":"LockScreen","impressionToken":"_imp","assetFolderRootPath":"C:\\Windows\\SystemApps\\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy","imagePairIndex":"001"},"assets":{"image_fullscreen_001_landscape":{"t":"img","u":"experiences\\LockScreen\\asset.jpg","w":"1920","h":"1200","sha256":"<file hash>","fileSize":"287209"},"image_fullscreen_001_portrait":{"t":"img","u":"experiences\\LockScreen\\asset.jpg","w":"1200","h":"1920","sha256":"<file hash>","fileSize":"287209"}},"parameters":{"_id":"31e3f841-7a54-4859-a466-0ba022439673","_imp":"<impressionTrackingUri>"}}
