    Aero was disabled for me too with the patched dll. After replacing back to the original I noticed areo was still disabled. I used the areo troubleshooting option and it fixed the problem.

    Disable adapter and install nvidia driver -> no luck (same error - no install)
    Install driver checking Win7 compatibility -> no luck (same error - no install)
    Installation driver like IE 9 RTM -> no luck.. again :(

    I'm a very very lucky guy :biggrin:

    I don't know why you'd need to "crack" the particular oobe file in 7955. It already works =\. Also to get the new metro login, all you have to do is enable touch access along with pattern login in control panel.

    cw2k suggested me once to do slc.dll wrapper (when I was trying to hack 6608 & 6519) - external slc.dll which will contain all exported functions of slc_original.dll, and redirect them (of cource "needed" values will be replaced with "genuine" ones).

    But it's really hard work and I don't know if anybody would be able to do that.

    I suggest trying to crack Timebomb instead of activation because it's more important ATM (Public Beta 1 will have exactly the same timebomb, and we will be able to activate it with public keys, it would be great to run Beta 1 in 2013 and 2014 :D).

    Look for "Kernel-ExpirationDate" everywhere :)

    Strange, but....

    Anybody else noticed that when Windows 8 7955 boots into safe mode, it takes longer then normal boot?

    I don't think anyone really cares about running this 2-3 years from now, we just want the features unlocked.

    BTW: in 7850, there is a bar to adjust brightness (laptop) at battery icon. Has it dissapeared in 7955?

    Yea quite a bit longer. But it's a pre-release build. These things are to be expected as they are being tested internally :D

    For what? Just rename in import table - file name like slx.dll and set this name for original slc.dll file :)

    Hi, not sure if everyone is seeing this but I was just playing around with the user accounts and these new options appeared. They weren't there before and was just wondering if other people are seeing them too.
