That might work, but haven't tried it. Without the patching of slc, running msoobe.exe will still have the old UI, I tried this the last part of the install (without the red pill patch) by pressing shift+f10 (for cmd) & force running msoobe.exe. & got the old-outa-box-experience so if you have a distribution folder $oem$, you'll need to find a way to automate the slc patching before the msoobe.exe is triggered/executed. so, can be done I guess.
So.... when I edit the .WIM and replace the (slc.dll, slx.dll & systemscpl.dll) Files.. it should run the new oobe?
With red pill MSE keeps saying all the time that Windows is not genuine, it's nothing that compatibility mode can solve unfortunately...
Only way that could happen is if you did something to the activation system. Did you install with your system date set past the expiration date? That will defeat the timebomb but also throw the system into an unlicensed state and prevent MSE from installing.
My 7955 was installed with April 25th 2011 date, so I guess that isn't timebomb problem. I activated it on-line using Windows 7 Beta key, it shows Genuine in Genuine Center. Without red pill, MSE installs and works perfectly. After I apply red pill into the system, it starts to give me non-stop messages about "This Windows isn't genuine". As everybody can see, I'm far from being a lucky guy...
Wow Scooby... your files work perfect for now! regards!! PD: It will be good update first post with new features and methods to activate
Each workaround creates more issues, soon you won't know which bugs were in vanilla install or introduced by modding.
