Forget this, I am done playing around with this. I am rebooting now to do a clean install, see ya in a few.
It's only a handful of files to get everything to work as it should, so it's not that big of a deal, and the file patches aren't introducing bugs, they're fixing the bugs caused by the cracked slc.dll simply by telling it to call the original which has now been renamed to slx.dll
Is it possible to edit install.wim with the patched .dlls so upon install all features are unlocked i.e. metro oobe? I have played around with the install.wim but in imagex I keep getting error access denied when I use install.wim copied from .iso and when I extract it from .iso without mounting, then mount with imagex I am unable to change any files (permissions locked). any thoughts as to what I'm doing wrong?
yes it is, i have done it, i am just waiting to see if anybody will make a patched version of that other dll file needed to activate.

1. The timebomb is disabled, if you change the date before installing Windows 8 to 2012. After the installation you can change the date back. 2. "History Vault" is also working on this build. But where can you change which folders should be protected by History Vault?
To do it all you have to do it mount the install.wim, then in that mount folder replace all the needed patched files, then comment and rebuild the install.wim and then remake the .iso. Everything should work from there perfectly. Again waiting on other patched files before remaking mine again LOL EDIT: you have to take control of thoes files first before you rename or replace them.
Hey lunar I hope you give us a step by step guide once you get that patch your looking for, so we can learn how to edit install.wim file format and unlock metro oobe the way it was ment to be shown i'll be waiting.
well once someone makes it, and i test it, i will make the steps. So far everything works just fine except for the activation, I get an error when trying to activate (look at my post in the page before). If someone could fix this file, it should work (I hope)
Im envious of all of you due to the fact that the build 7955 wont allow me to change wallpapers i see that you guys can freely change it ive tried changing it manually many times but no luck help will be much appreciated ... should i do a fresh install again and try again? and do scooby's method with a perfect start? is there a way to force this to stop and let me choose a wallpaper?
I made a thread about a registry key to change it. I found the registry key from a Windows 7 Netbook edtion. It's less than one KB. Hope it works. I also posted a Windows 8 Wallpaper that'll hide the watermark.
Dude your registry key is only 1kb what is that gonna do? it has to be at least 170kb for it to do something worth time Edit: tried and nothing.
