    it come back instantly. I've tryed with cmd "tskill explorer" even. Same results.

    I managed to get it to stay on 1 but when I relogged it was the same as before... nothing works... but immersive IE did look better, as in the scroll bars were styled the same.

    OK I leave some hints to the interested people here, look into the explorer.exe and twinui.dll for shsxs.dll,
    its dynamically loaded at runtime, there are at least 3 exported functions and 1 resource, those functions' names start with RP_. that's all.

    What have you tried and not tried? Also I figured out how to make regedit save DWORD 1, just edit another DWORD after changing SHSXS

    New registry key checked by DWM (found by PE Explorer-ing udwm.dll): DWord TouchTetherSnapDuration in HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM

    Whats with this Ctrl shift F9 business? I used it once for the systemsettings.exe. After a while noticed aero had disappeared so pottered around for a while. Then pressed Ctrl Shift F9 and aero was back lol.
