Ribbon can't be changed too much, otherwise it won't be Ribbon anymore. I feel Explorer doesn't need Ribbon at all.
You need to remember that it's main purpose is the Touch UI. While using your finger, the whole ribbon concept makes much more sence. Imagine creating a new Folder without a Mouse, or keyboard..
so does not make sense a dozen of the same bmp with a diffferent names in explorerframes.dll..... i think in the beta Ms is going to replace with icons, looking completly different... Ribbon explorer is very useful and dinamics, inipendent use on touch screen or not..., changes the ribbon menus dipending on file or folder you choose... MS did a great job......
depends how big is your finger he he he i think that dimensions are right...'ve tried on different monitors and resolutions...
If we all looked in the system32 files and checked the differences with Win8 we'll know exactly what files have been updated with what features. You guys should add which files you've inspected to the main post with description of changes so we can inspect other files which haven't been so far. Regards

Tks again, Tom Warren had once commented on my Neowin post, now is pay back time. btw, in win7 we can use gpedit.msc to enable/disable features, could it be used in 7850 instead of going thru registry hacks? I don't have the build on hand to try.
