Well, I managed to get the Windows PDF Reader up and running but its just a boring empy window for me, however, here is the recipe Under this key in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets\Paint\Capabilities create a string value named "CLSID", set its value to "{D3E34B21-9D75-101A-8C3D-00AA001A1652}" , then run glcnd.exe. I am running VirtualPC, hence no D3D support, for those running on the real metal, do you have better luck ? but I also noticed that it failed to create some WindowsRuntime components, so maybe its just that for M1 ?
There are a few controls that can be used, all with the CTRL key. - (minus) = zoom out = = zoom in 0 (zero) = whole page 1 = normal look 2 = page wide r = turn left around o (letter o) = open another file f = find in document left = goes left right = goes right up = goes up down = goes down Home = goes to the beginning End = goes to the end of the document
Just out of curiosity, I tried to backport it to 7, but it needs DUI70.dll too. I won't risk stability of my main OS only for an experiment. Maybe someone curious like me will reach to make Reader work in 7 But... Why does glcnd need Immersive, in M3?
because it is rendered as immersive windows, thus it is also limited to 640x480, as all (nonfullscreen immersive windows) in m3 (non fullscreen would be immersive browser, modern reader)
For the Aero version, I would see a merge between PDF Reader and XPS Viewer in a unique application. Strange it has not been ported on Pre-M3, and it had been ported on M1.
I will try to port over the M1 version, it seems more complete than the Immersive one from M3 I wonder if someone could supply me the binaries, as I dont have 7850 installed at the moment
Where is everyone getting the M3 builds from? I can't find them anywhere. If it's a kind of "private" thing I'd love to help out finding and unlocking new features in M3, I think I could have a go.
I don't care where the M3 builds are coming from, but why help the guys with M3, if they won't share?.. forget that.
Why not? I'd be able to make a blue-badge kind of thing. plus it will eventually be leaked anyway, it'd be better for me to have a look around and try and unlock the features so when it is people can unlock the features straight away
