Misinformation is misinformation. -- This is your 2nd or 3rd time here hating on Mozilla Firefox and providing misinformation. Mozilla Firefox is complete, 100%, open source, and folks have been reviewing the code for over a decade (16+ years). If Mozilla was spying on folks, there would be folks reporting it left and right (it quite literally would be the talk of the web). You have the option, I say again, OPTION to turn on or off telemetry gathering which for Firefox amounts to bugs reports and anonymous crash data, in order to help improve and fix Firefox. --- Unlike Google Chrome which is mostly closed source and you can NEVER turn off Google's spying. Attached is a screenshot of Firefox Quantum (Firefox 57) beta and even an early, Firefox Quantum (Firefox 57) final release. Everything concerning data is an option in Firefox, wherein Google Chrome, you have none since you cannot stop Google from spying on you while using Google Chrome. Noone here said anything about using the "Dark Net", only that a security feature originally only available in Tor Browser was going to make it's way into Firefox, for normal everyday use. --- Again, your attempt to misdirect information with misinformation, is telling of your clear bias and agenda. -- How good can your browser possibly be if you feel you must lie in order to defend it?
Firefox Quantum (Firefox 57) early stable release. -- November 8th, 2017. -- Beta testers should slowly be upgraded to the release candidate.
If you would READ instead worrying about your pay from Mozilla, you would have noticed that I wrote: "Read the small print, before installing "Noone here said anything about using the "Dark Net"...." as I wrote you ought to learn to read.... and not just doujin mangas...
1st I am not an employee of Mozilla, but 2nd, even with your byline added it is still misinformation since "everything" does not get sent to Mozilla without your knowledge and furthermore, "everything" is not everything and what little can be sent is optional as you do have a choice. Your original comment was misleading, as is your reply now.
yes i know for FVD but i like the "original one", i have a lot of customization for it in a config file, so i will stick with it.
Simply delete all downloaded icons in user profile folder and reload with Firefox browser them again. (favicons.sqlite, favicons.sqlite-shm and favicons.sqlite-wal in Mozilla profile folder. All bookmarks are in file places.sqlite) Firefox changed bookmarks icon storing method already about year ago and there isn't any other methods. You must simply open all links one-by-one again, then Firefox stores all favicons again. Currently Firefox downloads favicon.ico file if available, converts it to .png and then stores favicon.ico url and favicon image as base64 cryted data file. For example like this mydigitallife.net link: Spoiler: MDL Link in Bookmarks <DT><A HREF="https://forums.mydigitallife.net/find-new/posts?recent=1" ADD_DATE="1498231595" LAST_MODIFIED="1498231624" ICON_URI="https://forums.mydigitallife.net/favicon.ico" ICON="data:image/png;base64,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">New Posts | MDL</A> Link to favicon.ico - ICON_URI="https://forums.mydigitallife.net/favicon.ico" Favikon data in file: Spoiler: favicon.ico data:image/png;base64 ICON="data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAABAAAAAQCAYAAAAf8/9hAAACpklEQVQ4jZWS2UtUYRjGz0U30b3RH1AQCAYWSBdmKhYpRJFFiyFIMSgq7pEDmpClBmVkaSTiiDqUZpFbKjOFlnsybmkO4+w6m2dG52xzzvc9XUQjSoX94L17nx8vvA/D7CJo6boRNLb1cMuN1oChVvBPVojsSJHPp8s2+D4Xl+/eD8Mtdh7iTJ19or0PsncUytZ3EMECKlqh+JcgrvbCN5iFta5U0/rHwsgd4XWD5kDwh2Yi5BkGkawgkhlEWADhZ6AEx6EER0GkRdCQB5sTT2BrTvC5hnIPbp89/6JKtHWDhhwg4gpoyA6q+AEqAVQCVVgQfhZyoBsgPrg/ZMGmvdIbFvinH9hldhZUWgGRVkFlL6iyAaqwv0b2gEpmyIF+yAEtRMckjE9jhLBg40upRPhVKNwYFH4aRFiEEpyDsjkDOTABxT8CeXMAovs5BEc+SNCKpapjNCzw6nJskmscRJqHYFNDdFSCfZ8OtkcFtjsD3rYUCPYKcMarCHmqIVgnsVwdvX2BW3/nITtWA6p4IVhK4G6IAm8pAm8pBGdSgbcUwFm5H1sLSaDUCMfrXJjqk/VhgV5fvs/Vo1ramm8FDRnhaY4BbykEb88EZ00Db87Hem0ECPcJgW8dWCw/Ito6cg7veKWrvyTK+ea6Z2uuDf63t34JLAXgzfngzXnwtqSAHX6FhbKjsrk949ofy+TsyTtuak9fczYmQdAlgzjPgDhOQx6+AJM6AoaK6E2r9nbSX9vIMAyja7+fXHcvI9RSdxf11SfxqOwEinPScTk+kg42qeP+Gf6Nulhl1bS2QaPRor6hETWPn+FicrxnT2GGYZji7JtfB4eG4HZ7MDU1jabmFqSmnFrZs2CgtTLt0vmzXGJiAo2Li6XnkmL5dy9LM/cs+B9+ApTBB/rTaX3wAAAAAElFTkSuQmCC" The icon file itself is here PS I recommend to save favorites/bookmarks backup files as .json files, not like HTML files.
@Nucleus delete your history, cache, and cookies. It really does seem like you have a cache issue of some kind since you're pulling up old data. -- I have been reviewing the logs and bug reports and you seem to be the only person having this issue. I, myself, also do not have this problem. edit: I also suggest you stop using an add-on to manage favicons. -- Likely the add-on is the issue, not Firefox.
