Uninstall Google Chrome and Firefox Quantum works. -- I decided to install Google Chrome to compare something and as soon as I did, Firefox Quantum started to act poorly. I have no idea why Google Chrome negatively impacts Firefox Quantum, but it does. I have been up and down this forum telling people how much I love Firefox Quantum and how fast and few resources it uses, but the moment Chrome was installed, I had problems.

IF you plan on using Firefox Quantum, do not install Google Chrome. It somehow will mess with Firefox. :animatedfear:

Except that it takes 3 clicks to get there. Even if you add the "Bookmarks Menu" button it is not exactly the same as before.
I've made peace with Ctr+B, but something tells me the @Phoenix is having a hard time coping with it.

Look harder. It was included when you first installed Firefox Quantum, but if you are missing it for whatever unknown reason, click on the customize menu, and you can bring it right back.

Yeah I've seen but I dunno it looks / feels different. I guess it doesn't immediately show the bookmarks but rather the parent folder, so then you have the Other Bookmarks, the Mobile Bookmarks.

Maybe I didn't try hard enough as I immediately went back to my Chrome.

As a long time Chrome user "Other Bookmarks" was confusing, easy to do away with it though. Post #386.

Also easy to change the default grey bookmarks folder icons. Post #393.

Have seen quite a few posts by dedicated Firefox users not liking the grey bookmarks folder icons. As it's easily changed I wonder if it would feature high for any future changes though.

Edit: Irrelevant but just an observation, noticeable that qBitorrent has also adoped a similar flat plain icon style in the new v4.0.0 UI - update today.

In my case plugins seem to be the problem. Taking ram usage to ~ 90%. Uninstalled & reinstalled chrome & FF now performing better than before. I tend to keep both & additionally installing slimjet.

Thanks for confirming my results. Strange how Chrome seems to mess with Firefox. I too am using only Firefox Quantum.

Don't bother anymore about G, the only way is Firefox for me.. you have more Control what you will see and what not, you can change alot, and in G you can't.. G is a dirty job for me, but i'm happy that i cleaned it.

Basically, yes. A lot of developers and even tech-savvy folks are sounding the trumpets on how good Firefox has become. Of course, the Chrome-trolls are hating every minute of it.

 I agree with you and would ignore them completely if it were not for their attempt to misinform people.
