No it occurred to me that you only read your link up to the second post and decided that what that guy said was true and failed to read what was the true meaning of looking glass what it did and what it was capable of doing which was nothing, It was a stupid scheme to make money from a tv show popular with computer nerds. When that story broke about looking glass I knew the truth about it around five minutes after what the true meaning was. If got some time one day I will lookup your other link and debunk some of that. One thing I can tell you about Firefox though is that it costs money to produce, I am not talking about a couple of hundred grand its more like 100's of millions. The only browser I know of that does not need to make money and is telemetry free is " wget " and " curl " but they are a pain in the ass to get to work on Windows
Actually commandline download tools. The Windows versions work very nice provided the correct syntax is used. Best atm imho is aria2c.
Then you better mail Mozilla quickly.... they have just apologized to everybody for their s**tty behaviour. Tell them to ask you next time. BEFORE they admit wrong doing... because you will always be able to proof that they are right! Of course only if you have time, I understand...
First, I want you to know I did you the personal kindness and fixed your grammar and spelling. -- You're welcome. Second, they only apologized because there was a vocal bunch who felt this was an issue. "Wrongdoing" is subjective to the eye of the beholder since I would call Google's inability to turn off their spying a "wrongdoing", while for some reason which I cannot understand, you would call spying a "feature". Further, Google has been adding extensions into Google Chrome without the user knowing for years. For example, Google Doc Extention showed up one day without warning and since then they've added server other extensions to join it. But you'll never see this reply since I am on ignore, right? The biggest mistake you could have ever done. All it truly has done is further empowered me to point out your hypocritical comments and your general bias with impunity.
At least Google's extensions aren't just ads for a TV-show but useful. No thanks, FF just sold out completely. Money hungry whores.
Hmm so that's why my userprofile was gone when I reverted back to FF57 after system restore since the first update to v58 made it useless to browse.
On Win7 I have no problems with FF58, BUT on Linux FF57 worked great and as it got updated things got slower and slower??
Yes I read the problem is fixed in next update. At the moment I have updates turned off & once this update is reported as stable I will do manual update. Not seen if Linux version got new update to fix that.
