My guess is yes - you're supposed to be able to activate Vista with SLIC 2.1 in bios. So backwards continuity must be likely. Anyway, can't you flash back to 2.0?
Hi Canouna, Make sure your SLP2.1 BIOS has 'Dell System' for its SLP1.0 which is what the servers look for. And not 'Dell Computer' or 'Dell Inc' which is what the clients look for.
Not completly true, as: DELL (OEMBIOS CRC=B6F0EEFD) has all these: (A) 'f000','e076','0010','Dell System' (B) 'f000','e840','0010','Dell Computer' (C) 'f000','49a9','0010','Dell System' (D) 'f000','e05e','0010','Dell System' (E) 'f000','e838','0018','Dell Inc'

Is this still available for download? I have tried and the several sites that show up in Google report the file is no longer hosted.
Can anyone post the latest "OEM%20Changer%20Installer.exe" somewhere it can easily be downloaded, perhaps with a 'fun' name so it doesn't get deleted? Thanks!

A bit confused on the setup. For the source iso, can i use the trial WHS PP3 from microsoft? After running the maker5 tool and building the iso, is that enough as long as long as the hp string is in the bios? when should i run the WHS_HP_Change tool? Thanks
Hi all, Sorry to drag up an old post. I have tried to download the maker5 tool from post 52, however the shared2 website page just keeps re-loading. Tried with multiple browsers, still get same response. Anyone got an alternative source? I have even tried newsreaders and P2P.. but no luck. Thanks In advance.
