What is the best way to test the speeds of a flash drive? I just got mine from Amazon in the mail and I would like to test it out.

I need some help. When I run this test, I am getting very slow speeds. And then it just fails and I get an error that says the connection was lost. I included in the screenshot of the Device Manager in case something was wrong. I think it might be. Can you guys see anything why I am not getting full speeds?

Check for updated USB drivers for your MoBo.
Your mouse is probably USB, so, if you moved it, that may be a cause of your disconnection.

I downloaded the newest one from ASRock's website for my Z77 Extreme6 motherboard and attempted to install it. However, I got an error back that stated I have a newer version. What else can I do?

You can try a different computer this way you can determine whether flash drive or your computer is the culprit.
Or try another flash drive and you'll see.

or different OS if it happens on both pc.

if it works fine on 1 pc not other then its os related like upper lower filters ? disable antivirus.. uninstall and reinstall it? Bios version ?

wait it states you have newer version due to Windows updates. try uninstall with delete driver checked on usb controllers. then on reboot will try to install again auto. try install Asus drivers then

if it does on both and different os.. then its the USB

It's my computer. I hooked the USB to my Surface Pro 3 and I am getting 500 MB/s.

Well now you have isolated your PC as the culprit. Need further investigation.

    500 MB/s?
That is undoubtedly the fastest flash drive on the market.
Can a link to this drive be posted?
    Thx
