    Hello all,
I have an HP Pavilion g7-1350dx laptop, which has an Insyde BIOS/EFI, but it is highly crippled.
There is no EFI Shell or the ability to boot from and efi file, with the exception of HP Recovery EFI partition.

Now there is a similar laptop: HP-Pavilion g7-2320dx, which includes the ability to boot from EFI files, and includes and EFI shell.

Could I be able to flash the BIOS/EFI from the 2320dx to my g7-1350dx?
I noticed my BIOS is ~2MB while the 2320dx has a file size of ~4MB.

Is there anyway to find out the size limit of the BIOS chip?

    My BIOS: h**p://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp59501-60000/sp59792.exe
    2320dx: h**p://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp60001-60500/sp60105.exe

The two laptops have very similar hardware. The only difference is the CPU. Mine has an AMD APU A6-3420M, while the 2320dx has a A8 CPU.

Also inside the softpaq there are multiple BIN files, how can I distinguish between them? Can the BIOS be tested in an emulator before flashing?
