Hi, I need to restore the BIOS on my HP tx2520ea laptop (it won't boot up/gives BIOS error), however, HP's BIOS flashing utility is a Windows-only tool. I've downloaded sp45056.exe from the HP website and extracted all the files but none are able to run from DOS.
I've got a USB key with FreeDos on it, my question is how do I extract the correct BIOS file from the sp45056.exe and flash the BIOS from FreeDos?
    Or, is there another solution?
Thank you in advance for your help, I feel a bit lost in this and really need to get my computer running again!

put 30F1.fd in usb stick.. plug in. take power cord out. hold Windows :orb: key and B while plugin in power cord and pressing power.. now u let go of Win B and it should start to flash via recovery method.

if it dont work u might have to put in Folder
    Hewlett-Packard\BIOS\Current and Previous And New
also USB stick might need to be named HP_TOOLS

    for dos i believe u need ph161700 or phlash16
make sure its not a bad ram stick as thats a common problem.. or the chipset might need a reflow.
