Friday and then this morning, my PC started flashing between the desktop and the blue login screen. I checked the event viewer logs and both instances show explorer.exe errors, Faulty module named Duser.dll Did a memory check and virus scan, both fine. Did chkdisk and found no errors. Sfc/scannow found errors and were fixed, but after the fix the flashing and the explorer error happened again. Windows 8.1 64bit 8gb DDR3 Core i3 4370 Gigagyte B85M-D3H
That sound like a hardware or driver issue. Try updating or uninstalling your GFX drivers. And I'd also boot into another OS to if the issue is still there. If you don't have another version of Windows installed grab a Linux 'Live' DVD and boot from that.
