Code: The registry values can be changed if you disable self defence: a) double click on K icon (taskbar next to the clock) b) in the bottom left side, click on the settings icon (the first icon) c) click on the last entry on the left panel d) On the right panel, click on the 2nd item (shield icon) e) Uncheck the option f) On the warning window click on the first button from the left g) In the taskbar (next to the clock), right click on K and select the first option from the bottom (Exit in English) h) use Korin's registry values below i) search for Kaspersky in the start menu to run it again, KAS will be in english HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\KasperskyLab\AVP16.0.1\environment Localization: en LocalizationAuto:0 LocalizationList:en Ins_localization:en For license to activate you have to installl in russian, use vpn to russia. create kav account. Then, after license activation, registry edit to change the language.
My personally with Anti-Virus on the server? NO.. I don't use it unless you are hosting Website and etc.. If a data storage, then is no need to use that..I use McAfee Anti-Virus 8.8 Enterprise.. Works just simple fine.. For Data storage, I wouldn't use it, because server does not self execute it each files running. No need, I use Malware Anti-Spyware/Virus Corporation Edition. I still get no virus report over 10 year from Win2k3 and Windows 2008! No point need it unless you doing IIS Server!
I kind of agree with you on this one. However as a precaution I still use antivirus to keep an eye on my system files in case something comes in through some back door. I've been using MS- SCEP (System centre enpdoint protection). It can be obtained for free by extracting it from some package that Microsoft distributes although I forgot exactly what it was. I think I may have gotten the idea via MDL or Google a few years ago can't remember.
